Applications for the Neurodivergent Humanities Mentorship Scheme now open!

Announcing the return of our mentorship scheme.

We are excited to announce the return of the Neurodivergent Humanities Network’s Mentorship Scheme – applications are now open!

Building on the remarkable success of our scheme last year, the second round of the Neurodivergent Humanities Mentorship Scheme continues our commitment to connecting neurodivergent researchers, and fostering inclusive ways of working that centre and support neurodivergence in the humanities. We believe that mentorship is immensely valuable, and has incredible transformative potential.

This year-long, non-hierarchical mentorship programme connects neurodivergent researchers across multiple career stages to promote collaboration and mutual support, and offers diverse collaborative opportunities within the scheme. In this second round, alongside the option of one-to-one mentorship pairings, we are introducing mentorship groups. This development allows us to include more participants in the programme and offer access to workshops and events that are exclusive to successful applicants.

Applications are now open for both prospective mentees and mentors. We warmly invite anyone with an interest in nurturing neurodivergent scholars and encouraging inclusive practices to apply. Mentees will typically be postgraduate researchers who identify as neurodivergent, while mentors will typically be postdoctoral researchers or established academics who either identify as neurodivergent or as allies. The mentor-mentee distinction is based on career stage rather than expertise. We are especially interested in hearing from prospective mentors, as we anticipate a high number of mentee applications.
